File Lock is a secure software that can lock and/or hide your files, folders and drives. It can prevent access to any of your files, folders or drives. File Lock also supports to hide files and folders, to make them complete invisible. The locked items will be denied access,move and deletion, the hidden items will not be found by any program or the Windows Explorer.File Lock supports all NT-base Windows system included Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, supports FAT, FAT32 and NTFS file system.

The locked files/folders are totally protected, users can not open, read, modify, move, delete, copy or rename the protected files/folders. Files and sub-folders in a locked folder are also protected.

You can hide your private files and folders, to make them completely invisible to users and programs.

If you lock a drive, then the whole drive will be inaccessible to users. Files/folders on that drive are all protected.

File Lock also protects your files/folders and drives under Windows Safe Mode.

Files are always protected even drive letter changed. For example: If you locked a file/folder on drive D:, and you change the drive letter from D: to E:, that file/folder will still be locked.

Others can not unlock your files without your password, anyone who want to uninstall the software will be asked for password.

File Lock is designed for protecting files/folders on your local computer, it will not modify the protected files, will not encrypt your files. Thus, there is no chance to cause your files to be destroyed, File Lock also will not slow down your computer.

File Lock supports drag and drop feature, supports to lock/hide files and folders in Windows Explorer directly. To protect a file or folder, you just simply drag a file/folder to the main window of File Lock, You can also enable the context menu feature, so that you can lock/hide any file/folder by right-clicking at the file/folder and choosing the menu item “File Lock” – “Lock this item” or “Hide this item”.
